Review of meeting on Monday, March 22, 2010

The Hollis Library meeting room was the site of our meeting this month. We plan to continue meeting at this location if possible. There were about 20 people present. State Senator Peggy Gilmour came and John Barrier attended from NH Democratic Party. A representative from Paul Hodes campaign urged women to add their names to a “Women for Hodes” list. 1000 women are sought for this list.

Goals for November 2010:

Assure electing Paul Hodes to US Senate, re-electing Governor John Lynch, Executive Councilor Debora Pignatelli, NH Representative Melanie Levesque and NH Senator Peggy Gilmour

We may consider having a combined meeting with Brookline Democrats as the election draws near.

Hollis is tops!

The presidential primary vote in New Hampshire was record setting! 60 percent of the state's registered voters cast ballots. Hollis had the highest percentage of registered voters coming to the polls at 78 percent.

In the November 4, 2008 general election

85% of Hollis registered voters cast ballots. This was higher than the percentages for the surrounding towns of Amherst(84%), Brookline(83%), Litchfield(75%) and Wilton(80%).

Take Action!
